The banana plant is one type of fruit plant that is widely used in everyday human life. Therefore, banana plants are known as multipurpose plants. In addition to the fruit, almost all parts of the plant have benefits for life. Parts of the banana plant, starting from the hump, stems, flowers, fruit peels, and leaves have benefits for human life.

In rural areas, banana leaves that are still good/whole by the community are often used as food wrappers, because they are believed to be able to add to the taste of food wrapped. Meanwhile, the old leaves that are not intact are used as animal feed, especially in the dry season where forage is very limited. Moreover, banana leaves contain many minerals needed by livestock.
